just break the law, or funding requirements, etc.

teachers will ask me to unblock piracy websites so they can give their students free (pirated) audiobooks/books
admin will ask us to allow software without any consideration of federal privacy laws (i.e. COPPA)
the constant asks to just undo the restrictions on the network, despite me telling them we have to because it's a requirement for funding.

i got asked the other day about selling laptops we buy. we can't sell them because we buy them with public funding. federal law says we can do that, but it needs to go to public auction first. did you do that? no? cool cool cool.

i know a lot of it is ignorance, but god damn if you're vice principal/principal you should know some of this shit.

Do you ever get asked to break the laws of time and space? I used to be frequently given something say on Monday at 10 AM, and told "I need this last week."

I cannot complete an assignment before it is given to me.

lol oh yes that.

we have new hire tickets for accounts that hiring managers need to do BEFORE they are allowed on site.
but 90% of the tickets the start date is like a month prior to when we get it. Then we're hounded by the requester about getting it done quickly.

how about you do your job better and not forget shit like this. my favorite is when they dared to CC HR and HR told them to shut the fuck up
