Mileage can vary on if you like the circumstances behind fighting Sephiroth and the Whispers but isolated it is just fantastic. Lots of action, the music, the scope. Makes me wonder how they'll top it in Rebirth and Part 3.

I couldn't enjoy it because it felt too soon to fight him. Ending it with the motorcycle sequence would've been fine.

You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.

Kind of a bold choice to have you beat the literal manifestation of fate in part one of your video game remake of a series whose previous final boss was just an alien. Not really sure how they're going to one up themselves in terms of final bosses and later parts. What do you kill next? Destiny? Time? Is the final boss of the final part going to be cloud and party killing the physical manifestation of the multiverse?

That's kinda what I'm wondering. It almost felt like they blew their load too early, but defeating fate has to mean they have a lot of plans for the Remake timeline events.

I bet it goes full on anime (TTGL specifically) and your party is fighting the final boss in some sort of meta realm where you're literally standing on top of every possible timeline and the villain is presented as a threat by highlighting that literally every time he takes a step he shatters countless possible futures or something like that.
