tl;dr - some middleman payment app f***ed up.

Bank of America customers have been angrily voicing their concerns about the missing transactions, with some reporting that it caused them to dip into negative balances.
"Yeah I'm negative right now, all transfers from this week are gone. Haven't been able to get through to customer service all morning. This might be the final straw with BofA, I'll be switching banks," an angry BoA customer posted to Reddit.

"Help this issue with zelle is extremely frustrating, especially since you've said nothing formally about what's going on. What do I do with this negative balance? How should I pay my bills due today? Get gas? Anything ??," another BoA customer commented on Twitter.

Customers have said that Bank of America has started to restore some of the missing transactions.
However, the restoration of Zelle transactions is rolling out slowly, with users stating that they have seen some missing transactions restored but not all of them.

BleepingComputer contacted Bank of America with questions about the outage but has yet to receive a reply.

Zelle was working for everyone BUT Bank of America.

Issue was the greedy bank.

Nothing in the article points at who fucked up.
Could be Zelle interacting with BOA's systems incorrectly, could be BOA's systems being dumb.

A Twitter account for Zelle support responded to angry customers by saying that the problem seemed to be with Bank of America.
In one response, the account tweeted, "The Zelle App & Network are up & running. We are aware of an issue that is impacting Bank Of America customers when sending & receiving payments. We recommend contacting Bank of America's customer support team for additional updates."

we all know it happens. it's no secret. problem is, there's literally nothing the common folk will ever be able to do. period. big corporations control the money and they feed the government to let them continue doing it.

And you are right I dont work IT but it doesnt negate that IT is all based around humans messing with code and once in a while a mistake happens. If its the banks stealing shit then thats one thing but if its an issue on their end then chances are they are looking to correct the issues and this was a human error level

Then you should have a level of idea about human error that can happen. IT workers are just like anyone else, they arent perfect.

Yeah was it also a glitch when they illegally processed a bunch of foreclosure applications in 2009

There are extensive governance process in place to prevent this sorta thing that work extremely well if adhered too.
And in addition when it comes to certain types of data you up that x10 which this would be that kind of case.

This means they either have shit IT or it was nigh on purpose.

For instance if a corp has such a glitch that hurts their bottom line they completely go insane gungho on these process and it never happens again. This of course slows down the pipeline tremendously.

So I should remind you again, BofA has actually stolen money out of people accounts in the past.

Again past doesnt really matter in this case, what matters is the fucking now and rather this is legit theft or a system error. Again acting like a big fucking child doesnt help you.

When I had boa I used to get hit with maintenance fees and yet no one at the bank could tell me what that is.
