Blightzkrieg posted... What's with the trend of people describing normal feelings as neurodivergent It's the latest buzzword that the Internet has latched onto without actually understanding it. And then constantly running it into the ground. It doesn't help that socially awkward people love using it as an excuse that absolves them of all personal responsibility, in the same way "it's a glandular problem" gets dragged out to justify weight problems. The entire concept of taking responsibility for your own actions and the consequences thereof has become anathema over the last few decades. Everything is always someone else's fault. The problem becomes, there are absolutely people who are neurodivergent who do require a bit more patience or understanding to deal with in certain situations. But people misusing the self-diagnosis as an excuse sort of make it easier for other people to dismiss all cases (again, in exactly the same way people tend to dismiss "it's a glandular problem", because of how often it isn't). --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ...
