Laughing way more than anticipated. I guess it's part having low expectations, but it feels pretty close to the original. Gotta just give the kids a break and see where theyre going, but so far Im not complaining.

Also like how its not as sanitized or bland in comedy like other recent shows like the How I met your mother sequel.

I watched this dudes opinion on it and I was convinced that I probably wouldn't like it but alot of people are saying it's decent so I should at least give it a shot.

It's a comfort show. It's not really funny and the kid actors, particularly Leia, are really bad. But I put it on at night before bed to wind down.

Leia being awkward kind of works with being Eric's kid. It's easy to explain away her bad acting as making sense in universe

I enjoyed it throughout.

The show is mostly carried by red and kitty, but the kids are alright. I think its mostly a thing of the show surpassing my expectations.

Meh. Youtubers thrive on hate. Also lots of man babies that dont like any reboots from their prescious childhood.

Where can I see it?

As someone who watched the entirety of That 70's Show as it came out, watched reruns constantly in-between seasons, and watched through the entire series on repeat during lockdown;

I loved it. It was very reminiscent of the old series. It's just updated to fit a new time period with new characters. Actually doing a That 70's Show rewatch with my Fiance because she never watched it and loved that 90's show. Going to rewatch it right after 70's and see if it still hold a flame though

All her mannerisms are VERY reminiscent of Eric in the first season of 70's. Just finished rewatching that over the last couple nights and they're pretty much the same.

If you're awkwardly acting because you're bad at it, then it's often the same outcome

I'm not sure that's good for a tv show. It's exactly what the dude in the video said. It's the same but worse in every way

Its alright I guess, the young white girl was annoying though. Alot of forced 90s segments like the Pantera one that weren't funny.

When you're trying to make a sequel to a critically acclaimed TV show; probably best not to stray to far from the formula that made it work.

Not to mention this show was made for people like me, not people who watched like 30 episodes total of 70's.

Seems like this is her first acting gig. For now Im trusting the casting decisions. And like I said, red and kitty are the ones who carry the series and they know it, hence why they have more screentime than before.

Red used to be Robocop's rival so he can hog the camera all he wants

I would say you should stray a bit from a show that ran a full lifespan or its like watching American Idol singers singing songs by people who have done it better

The show has a critic and user score of mid 70's and it feels appropriate.

That's fair too.

For me, That 70's Show was one of the only ways to get me, my mom and my brother in the same room for something other than meals and it always worked. I'm very fond of the show, and 90's is hitting the same mark for me.

That's anticodal though, I might very well be biased.

That's great that brought you and your family together. It's more nostalgia than anecdotal for you. Not biased at all either because you're relating to both versions
