Today's arcades are full of win tickets bullshit that are no better than slot machines.

There's actually a couple good arcades near me, but every time I find a game I like they take it away.

What's so wrong about wanting to have a good old fashioned arcade shooting game damnit.

I miss good arcades. We had one place renovate to include a 10 pin bowling alley, axe throwing pit and a restaurant. It went from half decent arcade games to nearly all gatcha games. It infuriates me.

When I was like 12-14 years old, we had an arcade called Galaxy World nearby. Tons of games, but I was always in the area with the fighting games. They had MK1 and Street Fighter II Champion Edition next to each other, rigged so you played on a big projected screens. Loved it.

Please do not mention video arcades as I miss them deeply.

I would give anything for a TARDIS to be able to go back to the 1980's and the golden age of video arcades and play all those classic games again.

For a second I misread golden age as "Golden Axe" :/

Honestly these days with all the barcades starting up it's way easier than it was 10 years ago to find a lot of those games to play in person.

Traditional arcades were pretty great but yea with Barcades or heck even like a Dave and Busters (I think they may be a national chain, just never looked into it much) you can find a place to go though a place like that won't have the classics.
