Yeah people on Reddit are saying that some Walmarts accidentally put it on the shelves early. I already pre-ordered the Deluxe version on PS5 otherwise I'd probably be looking for an early copy lol

The only time I encountered that they still wouldn't sell it to me

I remember I got Half-blood Prince a day early because my local store put them out early.

I did receive REVillage a few days earlier because Amazon came early. Same with God of War Ragnark recently too. Some stores are ran by people who really don't care if they get in trouble for breaking street dates so I wouldn't be surprised if that happened here too.

Its amazing that in all the HP movies that came out, there is not one lead actor of color. It takes extreme purpose to make that possible.

I skipped around the 3 hour video a bit but it looks pretty good!

I'm predicting it'll be a solid 8/10, but smeared by sites like Kotaku and Polygon.

I dont like coming out to bat for jk rowling at the best of times but just an observation. Edinburgh- where she wrote all of the books, and Scotland in general- there are basically like 10 black people in the entire country. It's ludicrous how white Scotland is.

There's a decent chunk of Indian and Pakistani folk but very, very few black people. There was exactly one black person in my entire high school.

So whatever the movies excuse, I can somewhat see how she might just have not written black characters in because of that.

You and I know that you just made a ridiculously weak attempt to justify racism. There is absolutely nothing written about these characters that are attached to the color of their skin. Literally ANY main character could have been made a person of color and the meaning and themes in the movies wouldn't have changed.

Doesn't change your surrounds being a motivation when writing. Hollywood could have changed things up if they wanted and I think that's the original point without attacking someone.

We can say the same thing about 99% of all movies during the past 100 years. Its not a HP exclusive problem and dont think it was ill intended back then. And theres a few black characters in the movies, though cant recall any important ones besides one of harrys classmates and one of the aurors escorting harry on book 5.

The same reason Friends was a white as fuck show even though New York is pretty damn diverse place. Diversity wasn't a priority for hollywood back then, sadly.

Honestly looks fine. Not great, but good for Harry Potter fans.

Skipping around the videos a bit, looks pretty fun. The combat could be better, but the really nailed the atmosphere, it feels like it is actually in the Harry Potter universe.

No preload and the "early release" time is later than consoles for some reason.

There really isn't any solid info yet on the the state of the PC port, so who knows if it is good or bad.
