It was a beautiful game and the only game I managed to get Platinum for.

Beautiful game, good music, okay battle system, but impactful FF games must have good characters and story. Although its not as bad as the general consensus seems to be...then again its the internet where everything is worse than it really is.

Love it or hate it, I find it odd FFXIII is the only mainline FF now that has yet to receive a modern release.

Well, there's FFXI, but FFXIV and it's ongoing success is probably why I think...

Yeah possibly the best FF soundtrack, I also really like the music of X and XV

In this case it really wouldve made the game better. The only add stagger to make the enemies hp sponges since the combat moves a bit fast with everybody attacking at the same time. With turns there wouldve been no need for that and characters wouldve been able to shine individually. You couldve been able to summon all the eidolons without having to make that specific character the one youre controlling. Game was probably taken early out of the oven with a lot of stuff cut. Also characters like jill, Yahg and Cid who looks so cool, but you know nothing about them. Compare to FFX where you end up learning a lot of background story of small potato characters like the crusaders, belgamine, micah..etc etc.
