i don't mind/enjoy watching old things, OG twilight zone and the dollars trilogy are some of my favorite media ever.

I didn't like the J.J. abrams star trek. Every scene was so panicky and jittery with people screaming over each other. It was difficult to take the characters seriously

for a few dollars more is superb. The music is breathtaking. And a fistful of dollars has my favorite track in the trilogy

Highly recommend once upon a time in the west as well

yea i think that was my problem with the movie. I came into it expecting a slow burn but got an adventure movie. I'll give it a shot

It's very much a product of its time, but if you like media from that period of time you'll like a lot of what it has to offer.

If nothing else, the main trio of Kirk, Spock, and McCoy are hella charming

Agreed with both of these

Unless you are really into classic sci-fi or Star Trek, I would say no. Outside of an appreciation for some classic characters, you're not missing anything.

it holds up pretty well apart from the frequently distracting sexism

of course it's a mix of great episodes and duds, if nothing else it's worth just watching the classic episodes

The Original Series is the greatest Star Trek series ever made. Nothing will ever beat it.

It is the series that got me into Star Trek and there is something just magical about it and the adventures of the greatest Captain in Starfleet in James Tiberius Kirk and the crew of The USS Enterprise.
