if you let your dog bark continuously when it's outside, you're a gigantic asshole both to the dog and to all of your neighbors

My mother's neighbors, renters with four dogs and no fence, used to let their dogs out at 5:00 AM and would leave them out there to bark for 40 minutes at a time. She eventually called the police on them.

They still have an early schedule, but they don't let the dogs bark indefinitely like they did before.

I hate my neighbor's dog that always has to run up to their window and bark at me each time I go outside. Give me a break, dog, I'm not even near you.

Generally I'm ok with it if it's not when I am trying to sleep/I'm quite tolerant of stuff like that.

One time I had to confront my neighbor because his dog was barking to be let inside and it was like midnight so I walked over there...
Ended up the neighbor wasn't even home and the dog was outside because someone broke into his house and the dog got out...yeah that was fun..

Not currently. Ive lived in the same townhome for 13 years, and for 1 of those years, I had a neighbor right above my unit, and their big dog would bark nonstop when they were away. Fucking annoying as hell.
