After continued internal discussion, we began to start outlining the issues put forth by Rowling and the game in question and each time, and as we discussed it all, we kept coming back to the simple fact that Rowling is not only a bigot but is actively pushing, in her position as a wealthy and famous individual, for legislation that will hurt trans people. That she uses the influence and money gained from her success with Harry Potter to push transphobic legislation.

Therefore, the mod team has decided to expand our prior ban on promotion for the Hogwarts game to include the game itself. There will be no OT and no discussion of this game.

As a reminder, we do not allow for advocating or metacommentary on content ban decisions, which are decided by the mod team. Any that we see, whether for or against, will be met with threadbans at a minimum.

ResetEra isn't a gaming website. It's a website for pretentious assholes who think they are the PC police of the gaming world. It's best to ignore any opinions they have and forget they exist.

Resetera used to be Neogaf, but then I think the mods of Neogaf were caught doing something bad, and then that faction was purged from the website and resetera was created

Transgender people are in danger due to the vile legislation thats getting passed and the fear mongering about them. But this game isnt that high on the list of things they and supporters should be worried about.

You have to understand that some people will never understand this. They'll rather close the gates while demanding everyone accepts them not understanding how that ruins their own messaging.

this line of reasoning was bullshit during the 2016 election and it's still bullshit now

Everyone needs a safe space. If there are gamers who can't function knowing people are enjoying the game, this is a good option for them to find some community.
