I've always liked the idea of a scifi show where we had a zombie apocalypse like six hundred years ago. The zombies never stopped, we just learned to deal with it. So aliens that make first contact are utterly fucking horrified that all human beings just rise from the grave as shambling cannibals if you don't destroy their brain, but we're just completely chill about it.
