Age pairing discussions are themselves arbitrary. A formula is exactly as arbitrary as saying "nobody younger than 16"

Which is funny because if another country has a different legal age, we have a 'they are wrong, we are right' situation.

I'm not under any illusion that there are any hard and fast rules here. I think there's only "do I take advantage of inequalities or dependencies in this relationship in a way that manipulates the other person into being with me? Do I cause harm to the other person via our relationship?" and all the considerations that go into this.

Its only weird to me if they knew the younger person since they were a teenager. If Leonardo only wants to bang 27 year olds then replace them later with someone younger I see no problem with this. When Im in my 40s and 50s Id want to bang younger hot girls too. Now if he knew these girls since they were teenagers thats fucking weird, different story then.

The more someone needs validation for this, the more I feel like they're not aiming low for reasons based around love and personal connections.

Just go fuck off somewhere and be ok with what you're doing and stop needing validation. If you don't deep down know you're doing something for the wrong reasons and have an insecurity about it, you don't need validation.

Think about stuff you do that you don't need validation for. Is it because it's obviously something in the right? Probably. So, why is this the thing that you keep needing validation for?

You literally already won by how laws work. What more posdible validation could you need if you really believe in yourself and what you're doing?

its a good way to look at appropriate ages for a healthy relationship tho. Sure you can add or subtract a year but it def works in the context of choosing a partner for marriage
