Bruh, I haven't even read any of the Harry Potter books. I've only seen the first three movies. Even I know these characters have been either 'cheating' or coming up with 'creative solutions' since the first movie. It's literally a series about magical shenanigans and schoolchildren. Invisibility cloaks, time turners, etc. It's all magic, all the time. Magic is literally the entire premise of the series.

Horcruxes are a bullshit plot device that were never foreshadowed in any of the earlier books.

Wand lore, while not inherently a bad concept, is terrible in both its execution in the series and how it's used to resolve the final battle.

Characterization has all but gone out the window by this point. Characters can't even stay consistent within the same chapter.

That's just a lie. From the very beginning, how Voldemort survived a rebounded killing curse was a question. The diary was showcased in the second book. There was a reference to the locket in the fifth book. HBP was entirely about showing Voldemort's backstory and how he created them.
