Mmm, single for something like 26 in total, and I'm 32.

First 10 years didn't matter cause I was a kid, the next ~7 were pretty depressing... then I got my first girlfriend and spent two hellish years as a victim of emotional abuse, manipulation, and cheating... but I wasn't single, so to me it was better than being alone. Until it wasn't, and I broke up with her for good.

Spent another few years single after that, but it wasn't depressing anymore. I learned to be happy as a single guy thanks to that abusive experience I had. Sometime around age 27 I got another gf for like 6 months who was also terrible to me, but I didn't put up with it for long this time. Learned my lesson the first time.

Then about a year and a half after that, I met my current girlfriend of three and a half years. She's wonderful, she respects and loves me, and I respect and love her right back.

I wouldn't exactly call going your whole life without having even the most basic of sexual or romantic experiences, like so many that show up in topics like these, the epitome of health.

Sure, some people may have threaded the needle and lost their relationships just before the date, but I doubt that accounts for even a fraction of the user base.

As someone who's 0-30 applies to every month in a year, not just February... I do agree somethings gone wrong... and it definitely isn't healthy...

Definitely don't care, do you? My point about emotional intimacy is about romance. Friendships are obviously vital to a healthy life, as well, and fair play to you for having some. But a decent love/sex life is also vital. And I'd be very surprised if your friends can truly cater for every emotional need you have. There are degrees of emotional intimacy and a significant other tends to be at the higher end of that.

So, my point still stands: if you (or the guy you originally responded to) are depressed about life because of your lack of romance, then, yeah, that's not exactly the best life to be living, is it? I'd call that sickness.
