TL;DR: It's honestly the real base of Jinx's model and not league, because it's a miniseries of her doing things in a cutscene environment. She's, uh, much stronger than she is in game.

No issues fighting in melee, low grade superspeed, bunch of other things. She's not just a stationary gunner, she's actually surprisingly well suited for playing hit and run, which fits with how by lore she's a wanted terrorist.

the tricky thing is that her rockets don't have mercs magic homing like her auto attacks in league do - beams > rockets and I don't think Samus gets close enough for the gatling gun to be effective

Yeah that's completely fair JC, I was mostly just noting that Arcane makes Jinx not be an immobile hypercarry super vulnerable to being dove.

Flame Chompers walk backwards and Pow Pow

Jinx is more capable of surviving dives than most adc imo as long as she doesn't get cced from 100 to 0 (which can happen but that's because she has no armor and isn't beefy)

No. She's as she appears in the Metroid series only.

So I think it's absolutely hilarious that the Gravity Suit actually probably does not work against the Gravity Gun. In EVERY appearance, it explicitly mentions water resistance, with the only exception being Other M... wherein the Gravity Suit does not appear and is an entirely separate gravity upgrade because Sakamoto thought the purple suit looked ugly in cutscenes. Samus' suit is also ridiculously susceptible to getting screwed with, as it is in, like, every single Prime game. I actually kinda can buy a stasis lock if Gordon gets in close enough range or gets the drop on Samus and K Rool.

... getting the drop on both of them. At the same time. One of which has x-ray visors, BOTH of which can turn invisible. And like, do I think K Rool runs into random Ravenholm traps? Yeah. Do I think he uses that as a distraction that at least Jinx will almost definitely fall for so she has something to shoot? Also yeah.

Also Samus can do this now if you'd prefer to "Samus is invisible". She can't do both at once but, y'know.

I think that counters the initial assault pretty well, and Gordon and friends don't have the durability to throw it back.

Hmm. So she doesn't necessarily have wide experience of all her projectiles being flung back at her by a variety of other characters in a chaotic situation.

That does give the gravity-gun-reflected-rockets some extra benefit from where I stopped reading through.

I'm leaaaaaning Team Samus right now. I think a lot of the tools Team Gordon has are successfully negated by the X-Ray, tankiness, and matched long range of the opposing team. There are plenty of scenarios I can see Team Jinx winning, and even moreso if they could pull off a strong ambush that wasn't negated by the X-Ray Visor and communication. Gravity Gun does have a lot to play with, but I think Freeman's crossbow would fare very strongly punching through Samus armor. I also give Jinx tons of firepower, trap, ambush, and surprising speed credit. And there's Sagat who can tank a lot more than you would assume from his unarmored form .

But man, K. Rool pressing some buttons and just calling in orbital bombardments. Dude is all about firing big fucking cannons. It's a really, really good pairing.

I'll give it some more thought, but... nnn, Team Sagat's pretty well-routed far as I can see. Strong team, great setting, bad match-up.

Honestly, K. Rool is exactly who you want pressing buttons/calling in ranged attacks, since he does it frequently in the actual games. Everywhere from calling in cannonball shots, to training/instructing actual snipers (Kroc/Krosshair, which are canon Kremlins who control/fire the crosshair reticles in those DKC levels).

k. rool ability is OP and samus has too much speed and air mobility to get tagged easily

Treat it more as dialing in a command from a command console to revive him, moreso than an in-battle effect. Both of the effects are true, one for his first life, one for the second.

(well, the 'no healing' also works on the second life, it just doesn't matter because neither K. Rool nor Samus have healing to begin with)

I hate going "lol Samus solos", but in this case I really do believe it's lol Samus solos.

Ah, so the revive is more like an 'extra life' than anything, which isn't really a heal at all. Well then!

Samus/K. Rool

They just hard counter a really strong set-up.

I think Jinx probably takes out the gunship with her artillery and her and Sagat can definitely knock out K.Rool while Gordon duels Samus. I think Samus wins that duel (though she takes some damage because Gordon isn't a slouch) in the meantime and then comes hunting Jinx and Sagat and... well, that probably goes to Samus though it isn't at all free. Even if Jinx managed to pull of the miracle ADC run and win the 2v1, she'll have to burn basically everything to do it. Sagat is definitely not alive at the end of this, and then Kredits kicks in and Jinx gets a quick trip back to the fountain.

Samus and K.Rengar

There's too many situations where Samus's base abilities counter any tactical play that was needed. Realistically, the biggest game changer available (Anarchy) would have been valid here, bringing back the headcrabs would have given a huge distraction advantage, after jinx told the rest of the team post-activation. It would have been the ideal situation with Samus and K.Rool wanting to get rid of them while searching, one due to alien interference, the other because popping headcrabs and zombies is fun. I would figure that random explosions would be neutral, but would be the best bet.
