Board 8 > Just heard the craziest lineup of songs on the radio

Well, "just" an hour ago while leaving Phoenix. So this was over good old FM radio, not some random playlist or anything, and it went like this:

The Beatles - Here Comes the Sun
Stone Temple Pilots - Big Empty
Kanye West - (something off of 808s & Heartbreaks)
Taylor Swift - Maroon

Then the station went to commercial I changed to another. I can see how some of those songs could go together, I can even see how it could be from someone's personal playlist, but I've never encountered a radio station with this wide range of periods and genres.

I'd actually be really down for a radio station that does really varied playlists

I was at a friend's house the other day, he's the dean of my college's music program so he listens to really varied genres of music, and at one point these three songs played, in order:

I was literally like "dude, your playlist fucking rules" with no irony at all

There is a local college station that's been around forever near me that plays wild setlists depending who was the DJ.

The only station I listen to on the road is some college station that's also pretty chaotic like that. It has no problems playing some crazy experimental electronic track into like African tribal chanting or some low recording of some guy singing blues from like 100 years ago. Once they even played something simply titled "Part 1" of what I assume was some meditation CD that was of some dude kind of just speaking over slow calming background music.
