It had nothing to do with why everything went down as established by the facts of the case. He was attacked because he put out trash fires that Rosenbaum was starting. This pissed Rosenbaum off, causing him to attack.

There was no corroborating evidence from anyone saying it was done because anybody was scared of Rittenhouse or his gun. There was however plenty of witness testimony saying that he was providing first aid to protestors and putting out fires.

Absolutely. He is undoubtedly a piece of shit. There is no questioning that. But it was determined he was there just as legally as everyone else, so all judgement of the situation should be focused on "what he did while he was there." It's perfectly fair to say he should not have gone, but declaring it as if his decision to go is any different than however many hundreds of people were there is just pointless.

everyone knows why he was parading around a protest with a loaded weapon. And apart from maybe the first attacker, every single other person who went at Kyle that day was trying to stop an active shooter

Reminder that Rittenhouse was driven 45 minutes one way across state lines with an assault rifle to "clean graffiti" (by shooting it off of the buildings, apparently) and stand guard in front of businesses he neither owned nor worked for, while not operating in any official law enforcement or private security capacity.
