I last got a haircut 1 year ago. It was $15 for a regular haircut. I had planned to give the barber a $5 tip. Due to the rise in price I did pay the $25 but did not tip since that ended up being all the cash I had.

Thats a steep raise hot damn.

He's gonna buy Atomic Heart with that cash.

Agreed. I dont really go to other Barbershops so I dont know if it is just that location. Or if all barbers are increasing their rates due to inflation.

Get a mirror and some clippers and learn to cut your own hair, that's what I did

One of the benefits of going bald at 27 is that I don't pay dick to cut my own hair. Allow me to laugh with my extra $25

I pay $35. $30 for the cut, then tip. I barely have any hair either.

Feel like a cheap skate not tipping. Do barbers depend on tip as much?

Yeah, I cut my husbands hair every 2-3 weeks. I started during the pandemic, and now he wont pay anyone the rates they charge now.

I bought a decent clipper set at the beginning of the pandemic. Now its all I used, definitely saved me a lot of money.

25 is reasonable. 80 to 100 is not

If you cut your hair: you look like it.

And if youre going to town with a 1 then you can afford to have someone cut it every 3 months.

I get it cut real short and dont get another till its bushy and annoys me.

I get an expensive haircut and beard trim once or twice a year on special occasions, which was today. My barber also raised his price from $80 to $100. I was lucky I got extra cash for something else so I was able to tip.

i used to get a cut every 2 to 3 weeks, then dropped it to 2ish months, then the pandemic hit and the barber shops closed so i had my mom cutting me, and really all she does is trim it, instead of a true fade, so i just keep my hair curly since my hair starts curling up if its not faded. Now I only get a shape up when it gets too long and i pay nothing lol

you're better off getting your own shaving machine thingy and do it yourself at this point...

I remember when I paid under 20. Prices exploded here and now the average is 40 cad.
