Yet another Seiko, now my third one in just a few months. $230 before taxes and like the others I have I immediately fell in love. My phone cannot show just how good looking it is, especially for what's considered as Seiko's entry level pieces.

Might give this a blue Nato strap instead of the metal bracelet it has now later down the line, see how I like it. Also while it doesn't show here now, on Saturday the day is printed in blue, and Sunday is printed in red.

Nice, I love me some Seiko 5s.

If you're just getting into watches, I recommend finding what you like and saving up for a nice piece. It'll save you a lot of time and money buying a bunch of cheaper watches. Nothing wrong with cheaper watches if that's all you want, though.

My aunt and uncle gave me a watch for my birthday a couple weeks ago. It's a Lucky.

To be honest I'm kinda digging these sub 3-5 dollar watches. I noticed the higher up I go in prices the less I "get it," for lack of a better term. I get that I'm sacrificing accuracy or some notable features and specs like water resistance, but the most water these watches will ever see will likely be from a sink, and if I need to the second timekeeping, I have my phone.

Not to say I dont have an eye on a really nice Tissot however, but those 800, 1000 dollar watches at this point in my collecting doesn't really make sense.

I really like how Saturday comes up as blue. Mon-Fri is in regular black print, then funnily enough Sunday is printed in red.

How does one set up a watch for Nato straps? I've always liked the versatility of swapping straps but apparently, I can't just buy the heads by themselves (or at least, I'm not looking at the right places).

I like Seikos too. I have a Prospex (stainless steel) and a Presage (leather). Thinking about getting a Seiko 5 or maybe one of their military-style watches they make for ANA & JAL pilots.

Had a shot to get a Grand Seiko (GS), but 4+ figures is more than I care to spend on a watch. One cool thing about a GS watch though is that you are admitted to the Grand Seiko Club which supposedly has a lot of perks.

If you remove the bracelet there should be a spring bar on each end. If you reinstall the bars without the bracelet you can now start adding and removing Nato straps. The nice thing about Natos are if a bar fails, you'll still keep the watch on your wrist and save it from falling off completely.

Close, I paid $230, regular $295. Though I don't think anyone is actually selling it at $295 right now.

And then Sunday in red. Dunno why I like this so much; guess It's just really cool to me to see how this all works, and what goes into them to make it work. Might buy a junker on eBay soon and see if I can get it running.

what exactly defines a good watch? I went out in Paris earlier this week to buy one and I was checking out William L 1985 watches the other day since I heard theyre nice and affordable but then I got distracted by a bunch of other nice ones in the same price range of like 200-300 euros that fit the minimalist style I was looking for. any tips?

Well, I'm still starting out but after three Seiko watches in a row, I say Seiko, heh. There's a watch for pretty much any budget level you're aiming for in their offerings. Not just automatics either, there's battery and solar quartz movements too.

All synched up for the week. Curious to see how close they can stay until next Sunday. Anywho, think that'll be the last potato image from me.
