He got in trouble for constantly @ the admins and was told to stop. Then after getting modded for continuing to @ the admins he made a topic posting his moderation. Which posting your moderation is also against the rules.

i don't think that's true. reposting a moderation is usually against the rules only because it's breaking the same rule as the original post.

since this wasn't modded for what he had said, but rather what he had done, posting the screenshot shouldn't be breaking any rules.

Sorry but is the guy crazy or something? Whether its right or not, but if he was told "x is the only way to approach the issue" l don't understand, he hopes another way to magically be available by nagging?

That's what I would have thought too; though it could also have been for trolling (the logic being he was playing it off as if he was modded just for tagging admins).

I don;t like that user but that's a bullshit thing to get suspended for. The only way I could see it justified is if he was spamming the ad report system and got suspended for that (and the topic was deleted simply to prevent others from doing the same)

yeah, this site has had its issues with shit mods but mods don't have anything to do with ads. apparently even sballah can't do anything about em?

fandom is well known for having outrageous and extremely intrusive ads. they are basically a malware company masquerading as a legitimate enterprise so i am honestly surprised this site hasn't become much worse. i haven't noticed much of a difference other than the occasional super weird ad.

I'm going to say this in order to say heartreak to some people - this might be it for CE.

Think about it -

gamespot didn't know what do to with gamefaqs, so they told the admin "well, you know what to do with it, so we're gonna let you do your thing".

Then they sold it to red ventures, who are basically known for doing the Sears and Toys R Us thing (buy a company and strap its assets, sell it in parts and close down shop). Gamefaqs was basically ignored during this period too... just like kmart, toys r us and sears were allowed to do whatever they wanted with the store shelves during this period.

But then RV sold gamefaqs to fandom. The people in charge of gamefaqs weren't told much. The new owners don't care if we see harlequin fetii and cyclops chicken-human baby ads or an anime girl staring at a dude's fun sausage saying "it's too big!".

And then there's a new admin in town, someone basically above sballen. Someone who shall not be tagged, someone who won't engage with CE and someone who is only 26 (this may be his first assignment as lead). What does this tell you?

Some BIG changes are coming. I am not saying he is here to close down gamefaqs, or even the message boards, but something big will happen, maybe CE will be gone or they will announce a "new, awesome exciting new direction" which will imply changing the format of message boards to the fandom format, who knows.

We, as a community, lucked out to survive the gamespot and RV transitions, since we're such a unique, weird throwback to 1999. Why would we survive this yet again? Someone in his early 20s was probably negative age when gamefaqs, and most importantly, its web culture and demographic were born. And to make matters worse, dude was doxxed or semi-doxxed right as he was introduced, it's doubtful he will like our culture.

So just... brace yourselves
