Him and his wife both quit their jobs and used their life savings to buy acres and acres of land that are not flat and needs a crazy amount of work to make it look right. Tons of bushes, trees and nature stuff to clear out.

The land came with an abandoned house that the county considers unlivable so they'll demolish the house or fix it up. It's a lot of work and his main reasonings to do this is he is tired of not being his own man, hates living on a street with people and wants his complete privacy where the next closest gas station is about 15 miles out, wants to return to the "simpler" life. I've heard many stories of people who wanted to become hermits and wants to live primitively again.

The dude wants to have giant corn fields, livestock of difference farm animals and wants to not use technology such as cell phones, computer and internet. I guess different strokes for different folks but I couldn't do this. HBU?
