Heres all of the 5 stars I have. I have 663 (and counting) orbs from all of the content thats stacked up over the years. Idk when I should actually try to get lucky on a banner.

They did add like 4 units from Engage; I got her for free

I haven't touched it since uh chapter 3? Is that the one where they all died or went to Hell or whatever?

I think my team is still Reinhardt, B!Lyn, B!Hector, and uh, Ryoma? Or Arya?

Either way I haven't touched it in forever and probably never will. Fucking gatcha.

Yeah I mean I had a clear reason for putting it down back then. I just joined because a bunch of people on my discord play it. I was back into the series because of Engage, and figured I could get value out of playing F2P (I have a bunch of orbs now just from auto battling old content) instead of feeling pressured into putting money into it. I didn't want to make it a habit so I quit. Pokemon Go is the only mobile game I'll put money into.

It's not, go do limited hero battles and see how much you struggle in about 3 weeks. But as a new player you're not expected to be doing those. You ARE lacking in some solid heroes but now isn't that great of a time to acquire them.

This isn't the BEST source to go off of, but it is a start for someone who is getting back into the game and has no idea what is "strong" in this game.

You're gonna have a pretty hard time of it. If I have to give recommendations, my tip for newbies is to save up your orbs and just pull full circles on the monthly Legendary/Mythic Hero banners. They're not the best banners if you're targeting someone specific but they're amazing for newbies because they have 12 newer units who are almost all good. Once you get a good number of people on the banner you can just save up for the next one until you're satisfied with your barracks, then start doing some more targeted pulling on New Heroes/seasonal banners.

Also, if you have a chance at her absolutely get Fallen Edelgard. She isn't the best unit at high end play but it'll be a while till you're up there. Fallen Edel is hands down the best unit for a new player, able to do basically everything single player completely solo.

BTW, in terms of strong units in your barracks:
-Ash, Seidr, Reginn and Peony all pull their weight in Aether Raids, Peony specifically is amazing
-Brave Seliph and Eirika are two of the strongest units in the game for initiating combat
-Hatari/Duo Azura (green tome) is a top 3 dancer in the game
-Eitri's great in Arena
-Idunn is one of the better save units in the game, if you can get her on near save and someone else on Far Save you'll be super close to a great Aether Raids team

If you have any quick questions I'd ask the FEH board, most people there are actually pretty smart

This is absolutely true. She'll stomp PvE for you and may help you take on some abyssal maps possibly if you play her right.

Yeah I've been playing casually non stop since release (all F2P) , have ~375 5*s, and Fallen Edelgard is one of my best units.

Yeah I might post on the FEH board. I was considering pulling on the Robin banner too but was told the units aren't worth it

Yeah, makes sense. Robin's banner has a few stellar units but most of them aren't that great
