I wonder when this stuff with Zava is going to go downhill because you know it's not going to go this well the whole time.

After a couple of runs through the dating sim in DRV3, I've maxed out Maki, Kaede, Kirumi, Keebo, and Ryoma so far.

Oh nice, didn't realize that was out already! Looks like the second part drops on Sunday.

Maki is cool. One of the best things with her will happen near the start of S4 if all goes well.

It's been a long time (probably at least a couple years, maybe closer to three), but I finally got back to reading the Baccano light novels! I finished the 10th book just now, and it was pretty good. It took me a little bit to remember what was going on (since this series likes to juggle a bunch of plotlines at once), but it looks like the current arc is finished and we're going to delve more into the pasts of the immortals.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 6 complete!

Had some pretty cool cameos in this one. Really good episode overall.

Ted Lasso Season 3 Episode 4 complete!

Ted and Nate's inability to have an honest conversation with each other has become the "Will they/won't they" running question of the show.

The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog beated!

Yes, it is a real game (and free on Steam), and it's pretty fun! It's also really short (I beat it in 2.5 hours), so it's definitely worth a shot if you're a Sonic and/or visual novel fan. The writing is decent (it's kinda fun seeing Sonic characters pretend to be characters in a murder mystery; Shadow the Locksmith was the best part, for sure), the artwork of Sonic characters in their costumes is pretty good, and the ending was unexpectedly wild. The final image you get for beating it is almost worth the experience alone.

Mario movie beaten

I enjoyed the movie a lot. I had a smile on my face to whole time from seeing all the references they put everywhere. The overall plot wasn't anything to write home about, but there were bunch of cool scenes. Like I really enjoyed Mario's final run of the obstacle course and Luigi coming in for the save near the end of the movie. Mario failing the obstacle course at the very end via hitting an invisible block would have been cooler but that's probably too deep a cut for a reference. The blue shell scene was also really cool. I always call it a spiny shell so it never really occurred to me that it could come for a non-spiny enemy. Apparently it is depicted as a spiked turtle shell in later Mario Kart games but it wasn't in MK64 which is the one I always picture.

Played through Octopath Traveler 2 recently. Extremely good game. Best JRPG to come out in the last five years, I'd say. Nice how it's basically like they made the first game again, but better in every single way. Gameplay, characters, plot, world design etc. is all just so damn good. Did SaveEstelle check it out?

Okay, I think I'm officially done with Danganronpa V3. I've maxed out all the characters I care to, so I apologize to anyone who may have been good that I couldn't find the motivation to max...!

Case rankings: 5 > 1 > 6 > 2 > 4 > 3

I think 5 is the clear best and 3 is the clear worst. I could probably interchange the rest and not feel too bad about it.

With DRV3 out of the way, I decided to start up Mega Man 11! I bought it on sale a few months ago, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I feel like people have mixed opinions on this one. The aesthetic reminds me of MM7, which I actually do like!

I've beaten two Robot Masters so far. I haven't really used the Gears too much other than to experiment with them. I guess I should try harder to make use of them since they seem pretty powerful, but I forget they exist sometimes since this is a new wrinkle to the formula. Not sure if it's just in my head, but the levels do feel a little larger than your average Mega Man level.

it also reminds me why I hate playing games with limited lives as I get older because I feel like I don't have the patience for game overs anymore lawl

I've thought about playing 11 a few times, but never get excited to do so.

I feel like I don't mind limited lives as much with MM, since levels are usually short enough that it's not much of a pain.

I thought so, too, but I got a Game Over in both levels, which is what made me wonder if these were bigger levels or I just needed some time to learn the ins and outs.

My Top 3 would probably be Kaito, Maki, and Kokichi in some order. Bottom 3 maybe Miu, Tenko, and either Korekiyo or Gonta.

Himiko too low on that list IMO along with Kirumi a bit too high. I also wouldn't put Angie last but I can see where you're coming from I think.

Yeah, I didn't do any of her Free Time Events, so that probably doesn't do her any favors!

Will be kinda annoyed if Zelda is completely relegated to a damsel in distress like that trailer seems to imply. I mean the entire preview cycle has been going that direction but I was really hoping that wouldn't be the case after how BOTW ended.

We can't be having Zelda get too much stronger in contests after what BotW did for her...!

The battle looks surprisingly like FFXV. Which isn't an automatic bad thing for me.

Combat looks pretty fun. I'm still not sure if I think XVI will be good, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Man, it felt like a lot happened in that episode, with most of the characters being able to put their problems behind them for now and turn a corner.

I've beaten 4 Robot Masters in Mega Man 11 now. I still think these are larger levels, and I wish the checkpoints were a little closer together, but it's been pretty fun so far. The weapons feel pretty useful, too, which is always nice.

Also I realized that Mega Man is voiced by Jusis/Lorenz's VA.

My son's first birthday is next week, so my wife decided on a Star Wars themed birthday party.

As such, we've been looking up Star Wars themed snacks with appropriately punny names.
