I'm the definition of an unplanned accident.

My mom had been told she couldn't have kids and my parents were using protection, which failed.

So yeah, beat the odds

I was the youngest of three. After the second, my mother was informed by her doctor that she would not be able to conceive another child due to complications with her pregnancy.

Turned out the doctor was wrong.

I was neither planned nor wanted.

I think so. Mom always wanted to have lots of kids. She always talks about how rough her first pregnancy was on her when my brother was born. Then she talks about how easy it was the second time for me. However, there were complications near the end which required a C-section. She's never gone into much detail about it, but after that she had her tubes tied and has always wished she could've had other children. I have to assume my birth, or the complications around it made it too risky for her to have more.

Dad is harder to read... He is a MASSIVE copycat. If any of his siblings do anything, especially his older brother, he has to do it too. His older brother has 1 son, named Danny. His sister has a son named Donny. So, he wanted to name my brother Dana to match them. Mom fought hard against it and finally won. However, all of dad's siblings either have 1 son, or a son followed by a daughter... Dad is the only one who has 2 sons. Which he hates. He doesn't match their families, and it's my fault.

So, while I think I was planned, my birth took something major from both of them that I don't think they've ever really forgiven me for. Mom lost her option for a big family, Dad lost his option to copy his sibling's families. I turned out to be a failure too, so it's all been just been dud for all of us(except my brother, they both adored him and he was the golden child while I couldn't do anything right).

I am a middle child, and both of my brothers were either 5 years Older or 5 years younger.
My greater friends group or acquaintances spanned an easy 15 years.

Or maybe they weren't thinking at all. I have no one to ask.

I do like that I can talk to anyone in any age group though.

No clue honestly. I know my brother was planned, never asked or cared.

My dad got my mom pregnant while he was stationed in another country in the Army. She moved to the US, they got married, and were divorced about a year after I was born.

I think so, but I forget. I think they were married for 5 years before they had a kid.

My mom had five miscarriages and a stillbirth before having me. I'm glad they kept trying. I can only imagine how tough that was on my mom, especially the stillbirth.

I don't know, and I don't really care. They obviously planned to do the deed, and as far as I'm concerned that comes with an acceptance of the potential consequences.

Ive never asked but honestly probably not. I wonder if thats why I feel like Ive never really found my place in the world or my purpose- because I was never supposed to be

Yes but they planned for a girl. Turns out that ended up happening later when my sister was born but she was not planned.

My parents were religious. I think they got married after mom found out she got pregnant. They kinda knew of each other in their hometowns and met again by chances in illinois, florida, and texas. My dad had his heart set on my mom. i guess they traveled together after seeing each other from time to time when they both finished college. They didnt go to the same schools in their life.

I was the result of a college hookup. I didn't meet my dad until I was 8. Our relationship is more like friends than a father/son relationship but I'm cool with him and all the family I have on that side including my siblings.

I was always told by my dad that I was a product off a bottle of Jack and the back seat of a 65 Cadillac. My mom tells me that night was real fuzzy and can't remember much.

I did not know that.

I was planned for sure. My parents were getting older and they had me right before they both turned 40.

I have no idea nor do I care to ask.

I'm guessing my parents didn't plan to have me when they were in high school
