Miss me with that horseradish. I get it. Big Media spread shark fear several decades ago over nothing. But underselling the dangers here is not the appropriate way to fight what has been done. They are nature's killing machines. Swimming Death. Nanny fish. But they're an essential part of the ocean's ecosystems and killing them for the sake of it is a very bad idea. There, was that so hard?

Why nature have to make them look so fucking scary.

I was just reading a story about a 19 foot great white that recently but a guys head off. There is also video of a shark allegedly eating a guy in Sydney. I dont know if its real because you cannot discern the shape of a human and it could have been a seal, but a bunch of publications used the video for their article.

They usually dont bite too hard, but they sometimes do launch predatory assaults on humans and eat them.

"Fun" Fact: Researcher simulated the sounds of sinking boats to see if it would attract sharks, and sure enough, White Tips showed up. So while a number of sharks may not enjoy humans for one reason or another (most suspect the meat to bone ratio), the sounds of sinking ships are a dinner bell letting nearby white tip sharks know It's human time!

It's a good thing people don't let their sharks run around loose on the streets.
