I got it during the winter steam sale and they announce the stopped developing it after the sale.

Sigh...

Even WWZ is still getting updates and shit.

All the dlc has been released, should still be supported in some way still though.

It was dead long before that.

It's kind of the standard at turtle rock now. Luckily they let out a beta and I tried it before I fell for it again like Evolve.

i tried to like this game but it didnt grab me like Left 4 Dead did for some reason.

The game is not as polished as L4D

The Crowbcat video spelled it out pretty succinctly

It was pretty butt.

The gunplay was fucking awful. Whoever thinks aim acceleration is a good thing needs to be locked in a cryogenic chamber forever

I was dissapointed overall with game because it became too frustrating with amount of cheap enemies. Also, the ally AI sucks if you are stuck with them which in the end will happen due to it being an online only game.

World War Z is a much better game if you want the same vibes and gameplay.

Back 4 blood's AI is actually pretty damn strong with the most recent version of the game. They patched it to where they will actually use lockpicks now, they are invulnerable to almost all area of effect type stuff, their guns automatically upgrade now alongside yours, the copper they have always carries over and gets added to the host's money, and some other changes that slip my mind. They are good enough to where some people actually went through the new no hope difficulty just setting up the bots correctly. *The same update that lets you use 15 cards from the get also lets you earn supply points when you play in offline mode. When the game first came out you were forced to play online for the supply points so that was also a good change.*

But yeah when that news hit that they are done with major updates a lot of peeps just said fuck it and moved on. I played it enough to where I got the platinum trophy so I deleted it awhile back myself.

I do admit that at the very end when certain updates came (especially the title update that lets you use all 15 of your deck's cards right at the very beginning instead of slowly getting them as you go through the act) I actually ended up enjoying the deck building back 4 blood campaign part more than left 4 dead's in comparison, but since me n' the boys always played left 4 dead 1/2 for the pvp and hoped back 4 blood had a similar mode it's staying power didn't last long at all once I was done going through everything on nightmare.

I only just started playing it last month. It's alright solo but need someone to play with to get more out of it.

What are some of the really bad ones?
The Dead Rising 1 vs Dead Rising 4 video didn't set off any alarms. I like the TF2/CSGO cosmetics one too. A lot of the rest is just compilations of public events bringing great shame upon themselves.

The game is alright but Left 4 Dead 2 is worlds better. They've made updates such as giving you your full deck at the start instead of just picking one at random after a map ends. The main game is pretty bleh, it has a lot of repeated run throughs and the later levels just add on so much garbage nonsense that it feels like it gets wildly unfair. The "difficulty" is less thought out and more along the "just mob the player with a bunch of upgraded infected" kind and it feels bad. The DLC actually was pretty good, the last one released felt like it was leaning more towards the classic L4D 6 stage acts with unique areas.

It's okay, I played a good bit with my brother. I'll still probably play it from time to time but it's a shame that it ended.

Aliens Fireteam Elite is so much better honestly. And it still gets new content.

As for zombie games I play a shit ton of Killing Floor 2.

Probably. It wasn't even that good new.

The GTA one comes to mind where it's basically just a bunch of car details or npc interactions they chose not replicate in 5 being presented such that 5 is feature incomplete compared to 4.

Others like TF2 then vs now just never introduce the context that many changes to graphics defaults were done to expand the game's compatibility and range of computer specs that could play it, or to keep the engine running after over a decade of updates.

In either case, what you're left with is videos that are designed as outrage bait and prey on the reactionary "old good new bad" tendencies of the gaming community.

That last bit is really apparent with his latest "Remember Halo" video that ends with footage of old Halo midnight releases. With the theme of the video being that those don't happen anymore because 343 developed bad Halo games. Rather than the fact that the viewer is now an adult and hype culture for teens and pre-teens has moved on to Fortnite. See, Halo sucks now because you had a matchmaking error when you tried to join a match just now, not because you're sitting alone in your room and the last lan party with friends you used to know was 5 years ago.

It's the type of content that enables the viewer's choice to never grow up, never self-reflect and wonder if maybe the reason they don't feel as much joy with their childhood activities is because they have changed and their environment has changed.

B4B is the perfect example of how ass the modern game industry is. Had a good, clean concept with L4D, strip out a beloved feature(vs mode), add nonsensical roguelite mechanics, skills, and cash shop currency. Make the game take obscenely long and make it harder by difficulty by giving fewer checkpoints than anything meaningful too.

Ah. That seems fair. I get you on the TF2 then vs now one completely.
If the guy's gonna go into real issues like AI, glitches and cosmetics interfering with design choices then I'm not really complaining though.

Its a completed game. I fell off of it kinda early but it was never really presented as a live service game - it had a season pass for DLC

why did they think making the guns behave like they do in CS:GO would be fun? not even CS:GO players like CS:GO guns.

They never added couch coop.

It really did not have much of a reason to exist. It was already the case 10 years ago that there were too many multiplayer only games.
