To be fair, these half measures aren't helping. The dominant narrative, even among the left, is that the "russiagate" investigation was political and had no there there. Despite conclusive evidence being gathered showing the opposite.

Most of NYC hates Trump so seems more likely. They knew of him as the grifter scumbag he is long before he came into the political spotlight.

yeah, it is just nervous cultists reassuring themselves that any accountability will totally backfire despite focusing on trump being a scumbag has been an incredibly effective political strategy, historically effective even.

I have a different take. I think Trump WANTS to be indicted. He can't stand not being in the spotlight. He wants to be able to rile up his worshippers into a frenzy. CNN and all the cable news channels are desperate for him to get indicted so their ratings will skyrocket. In the end we all know these indictments will amount to nothing, maybe a fine and a slap on the wrist.

So why bother with it all?

that definitely isn't the narrative among any of the left that i know or have seen. people that looked at even the surface level can easily see the blatant appeals for russian interference, the multiple high ranking trump officials convicted of felonies involving being foreign agents and the meetings with putin/gru agents.

I too do not believe people should be held responsible for their crimes if they have supporters who will get really mad about it. Also, Hunter Biden owns a laptop and we can't ever arrest anyone for a crime ever again until we arrest him.

This whole arrest thing is clearly just a way to reinvigorate his base. I'm not sure why we're even giving it attention, it's not going to happen lol when he is inevitably not arrested on Tuesday he's gonna go "whew that was a close one Patriots but MAGA prevails again" or something
