Haven't seen any topics on CE unless i'm missing something, I know people were into Yellowjackets for it's first season, first episode dropped tonight. Ted Lasso is a couple episodes deep now.

YJ isi the one with the girls in Canada after a plane crash or something? I remember reading about it and planning to watch it but I thought it was only one season and a second one was up for discussion. So I skipped it cause I don't like unended sotries. I'll check it out since there's a second season.

Was looking forward to S2 of Yellowjackets.

Don't know anything about the other one.

Ted Lasso is a comedy drama about a college football coach that moves to europe to manage a euro football (soccer) team. It's good, and pretty wholesome.

Yeah, I'll stick with Yellowjackets.

Might be disconcerting trying to watch them together, considering.

TL is a nice comfort show, but I'm looking forward to the 2nd season of YJ that starts tonight--that show is wild

What the heck that's crazy. And just the other month I'd seen everest, the movie about the mountaineers stranded on the summit of everest with tragic results.

But haven't heard of this movie though

There's definitely a creepy horror-like supernatural element to it

I haven't finished season 1, but its kinda similar to Lost sort of. So if you liked Lost, you might like Yellowjackets

Season 1 opens witht he chilling scene of a girl running barefoot in the snowy woods, eventually falling into a booby trap that (apparently) kills her.

And it then NEVER HAPPENS during the course of telling the story in the entire 1st season.

Writers had confidence that they were getting picked up for season 2 with writing like that.

I watch Ted Lasso with the wife, so we've seen the first 2 episodes of the new season.

She doesn't watch Yellowjackets, so I'll wait until a few episodes pile up before I start watching that one.

Eh. Other than the sport, they can't possibly be more different.

And what sport they play in Yellowjackets is basically irrelevant.

I really like Yellowjackets. Thought it was dropping same day as Succession S4, so this is a great surprise

Very psyched for Ted Lasso despite a somewhat less good second season

YJ. Im not sure. I really liked parts of the first season but I feel like it wanted to be supernatural and then every time it went that direction it would immediately walk it back. Then the adult stuff was extremely boring compared to the teen stuff and then to end it all they kill off the only character I really liked.

its already planned for 5 seasons. They knew s2 was happening before s1 even aired pretty much

Well I hope it is allowed to complete its 5 season story.

Planning on it being a 5 season show, and it actually getting 5 seasons are two very different stories.

Obviously, I hope it does get to tell the whole story.

aside from john wick, what movie has come out in the last year that is on par with any of the elite TV airing in that same timeframe

this capeshit aint compete with Barry, Succession, Severence, House of the Dragon, etc

yeah I heard the 5 season thing last year, so obviously it could get trimmed down if the ratings are bad this year or next year

I think they'll start eating each other this season though >_>

I just finished yellow jackets season 1 the other day. Hella good.

First episode of Yellowjackets was good, I thought her talking to the frozen corpse given the situation was understandable, idk about eating the ear part.

Richmond is getting a new elite player that decided to sign with them after Rebecca told him off in the bathroom. Jamie was an egotistical jerk turned good teammate, this guy sounds like he might be worse.

My wife really doesn't like sports much at all, and Ted Lasso is one of her favorite shows right now, highly recommend trying it for something more light hearted and mildly vulgar.

I might just start doing duo television show topics for lesser known stuff that most people don't watch, I cycle through a ton of streaming shows. Not for stuff like Mandalorian, but i'm probably gonna start Swarm and 1923 soon.

One's on cable, I guess, and the other is on a streamer I don't want.
