Then defintely get it The air m1 is pretty good as a 'basic' laptop. Source: I have one. The M1 and M2 are unreal in terms of power for the price. It's a pleasant surprise to see them not be terribly expensive. That being said, don't buy an M1 Air for $800 in 2023. M2? Yeah go for it, but the M1 is a few years old and that price point is pushing it considering the age (yes I know I'm now arguing against myself).
