RuneScape definitely. My friend and I shared the account to split the membership cost. He did most of the important quests and combat training, while I did clue scrolls, minigames and skilling. Somehow we never reached level 99 in anything. Though I got Fishing and Cooking very high and we were able to afford a godsword.

How did you schedule who'd play when?

I'm pretty sure he wasn't allowed to play during the week so I would play then after school. He would play on Friday and Saturday night. We also had F2P alt accounts to muck around on if the other person was on the main.

And then you'd trade all the F2P stuff over to the joint main?

-Playing fun flash games on Cartoon Network and Newgrounds.

-Mid-00s CE was also a lot of fun and way better than it is today.

-No social media and using AIM to talk with friends. Changing the background and font colors to be black and red like my edgy 11yo self wanted it and having some goofy gif in the corner of the client

-And of course finally figuring out how to look up porn. I still have one of the first porn videos I ever watched. It's such a good video of this busty asian chick getting railed and her titties bouncing all over the place >_>

As a kid my dad helped me make my first email account. When we got to the part when I had to come up with a password we both agreed that "milk" was a good password for an email account. Internet security wasnt great in the 90s.

One for me think was Dreamcast IRC chat. I was part of a couple of groups that were going to play together online. Obviously that never happened...

Ah, I was thinking more about collecting up resources the main could quickly burn through for a leg up, ore/ingots, runes, stuff for fletching/crafting. Stuff that can stack on one inventory spot ideally.

I haven't played in a really long time either, I used to love it but it's genuinely the single most addictive game I've ever played so I keep my distance for my own good.

Oh yeah I definitely get that. If you were to try it again it would be too difficult to stop probably.
