tl:dw. The Shift is banned. Pick offs are limited and there is no a pitch clock. It is causing havoc.

I don't mind the pitch clock or banning extreme shifting. I don't like Manfred runners, though.

I may check out a game this week and see how I feel. I've never liked baseball, but I never hated it either. It's just sooo slow and boring. The pitch clock seems interesting.

There should be a batting clock too.

Honestly going to a game is much more fun than watching TV, especially if you're a more casual fan. I know it's kind of oxymoronic with needing to pay for a game rather than watch it free at home, but it's just the relaxing vibe and aura of being at a game I guess. Especially if you're with friends and around a good crowd.

There technically is. Batters have to be setup in the box before 8 seconds are left IIRC

I remember how Jim Rome would make fun of the people who went to the ol' ball game to read. But there could be something pretty cool about going there and just dropping a board game. Anyone ever play Settlers of Katan there? (Romey made some jokes about board games too). But surely not that one.

When I did seem some major league ball I liked to watch the game though one time I was in Toronto and watched the Islanders game at a bar more.

These are objectively good decisions. The extra runners are the only bad one to me after the 9th, but still.

I don't really like the DH, but such is life I guess. The shift is kinda a weak bandaid. The shift probably hurt baseball in the long run as it helped create the 3-outcome game where now we care more about launch angles and velocity for home runs... but then again, that might have happened regardless since analytics are a huge part of the game nowadays.

Pitch clock is shit so far. There was a certain pensiveness on the mound and batters box. It's now gone.

I completely agree. I've been to about a dozen games in my life, even a couple of playoff games. Enjoyed it everytime. Baseball is definitely a fun sport to watch live, particularly because the slow pace allows you to really relax and soak in the experience. But man does it not translate well on TV lol. At least IMO.

It was those Yankees and Red Sox games that took forever, but otherwise eh. I am not a fan of the shifts either got rid of hard singles, freaking Ichiro made a living out of that.

I think less mound visits was good enough I didn't need a pitch clock.

I wouldn't make too much of a YouTube video on this. Only serious complaints I've heard is about the runner added in extra innings, which I also think is a bad change Every base should be earned by a hit or walk, IMO.

Just get rid of baseball. It's boring and it sucks. Honestly would rather watch soccer and that shit is terrible too.

I think I didn't even read the TC properly hahaha but uhh yeah Baseball Stars for the NES might still be a top 100 game of all time but tbf I didn't care about baseball much during its heydays and only sorta cared about 12 years ago.
