Or is that the peak of it and its all downhill from there? I ask because I never got past that any time Ive watched the series and I recently started rewatching it again. Should I keep going past this arc?

I think it keeps getting better until it starts to stagnate with the Fullbringer Arc. Still good, but weird.

Thousand Year Blood War has been incredible.

Yeah Ive been hearing great things about TYBW. Thankfully by the time I even get to that point itll be all finished

The Arrancar Arc hits almost the same story beats as the Soul Society Arc, just replace Damsel in Distress Rukia with Orihime. The Arrancar war almost has no stakes involved. The Thousane Year Blood War is an improvement, if all you like is just seeing one dude with special powers fight other dudes with special powers. Soul Society Arc is the peak imo.

Everything after Soul Society sucks

The pacing gets murdered by filler after that point, but if your skip it it's pretty good.

It's good if you turn your brain off and just enjoy the cool ass swords.

People poo poo on it but I loved the Arrancar arc. It has my favorite character (Ulquiorra) and subsequent fight between him and Ichigo

The new anime is so much better than it has any right to be. Goes to show how good animation and pacing can elevate a mediocre manga beyond itself.

I never read the manga but I'm finding it hard to understand everyone who said this arc sucks balls, because bleach has never been this good.

The anime is doing a LOT of heavy lifting for this arc.

I think there's some nostalgia hitting in there as well. I've only seen the first episode and they go full hype on reintroducing characters.

I mean let's be real, we watched bleach for cool fights and cool shit. And the anime is nailing that part.

Its really good, just skip Fullbringer Arc, no one likes dat and go straight to da thousand year blood war, its what i did on my re-watch

They've already said they're adding things to the anime and fleshing it out more. Hopefully that pans out well.
