Noah was 600 years old when he constructed the Ark. That's pretty good work for that age!

Why, when Noah's children were already 100 years old (roughly) didn't they have any children? Noah was described as being just over 500 years old when he had his 3 sons, and he was 600 when he built the Ark, so they were about 100 years old. The Book of Genesis mentions that there were 8 people onboard the Ark, who were Noah, his unnamed wife, his 3 sons, and his 3 unnamed daughters in law. The lack of grandchildren means that his sons hadn't had children of their own, yet. Why wouldn't they have children by the age of about 100?

Why did it take 40 days to flood the earth, but a whopping 150 days for the waters to essentially drain away?

Why did God create the earth and also the Garden of Eden. God presumably didn't know that humans were going to fall from grace. What was the point of the rest of the planet?

God told Adam and Eve not to eat the Forbidden Fruit, and when they did defy God and eat it, they gained knowledge of good and evil. Basically, they couldn't have known in advance that defying God was evil. Isn't this clearly a Catch 22 situation?

One early guy in the Book of Genesis was in a poyamorous marriage, i.e. he was married to two wives. Strange that God had no problem (seemingly) with this.

Why was Cain's offering to God rejected, but Abel's accepted?

God allowed Adam to name the animals. It seems slightly strange that God didn't just do this himself. Also, Adam, for this reason, is considered by Jewish people to be the first Kabbalist.

The answer is always because of space magic or major plot holes that the script writer didn't think about. Anyways I always think of it this way. Pretend the garden of eden is organized religion and then pretend the forbidden fruit is common sense or knowledge of the world. Once you have a bite of common sense or knowledge, you wake up from the Kool-Aid delusion and reality begins.

About the flood waters rising/receding, it takes longer for water levels to go down then it does to accumulate. Dry ground will absorb water faster than wet ground.

A better question is where all that water even went, assuming it was a worldwide flood which is just preposterous.
