I'll take some tips.

tipping is unethical and if you tip you are supporting an unethical system. and its especially unethical and an asshole thing to say to someone "if you cant afford to tip you cant afford to eat out" since thats direct support of an unethical system

We should just give our entire paychecks to landlords. They do so much for us and deserve it!

landlord is not a job; it's a position. it doesn't require them to do anything; only that they own the building.

barista, meanwhile, is an actual job.

I will say that, on the whole, I don't think tipping should be a thing -- it's the employer's responsibility to pay their employees enough to live on; not the clientele.

I'll also say that which jobs receive tips is also quite arbitrary. but again, "barista" is a job and "landlord" isn't

Every barista actually makes the coffee etc, not every landlord is on call 24/7 (let alone does maintenance)

Wages for customer service positions have not increased at the same rate as CoL, while rent has increased MORE than the COL/median wage.

I always tip my pilots after we land. But landlord's I tend to only give 10%. The service is always atrocious but still they gotta live to.
