As I've said elsewhere I would love for the era to be explored in film, but they would really be better served in adapting the comics rather than the games.

Or better yet, drawing inspiration from both, but going off and doing their own thing. There's a lot of potential in the era and I don't want something I've seen/played before.

That's mainly why I've always skipped them. The art just never spoke to me in many of the pre Disney era SW comics.

I would love to see a movie handling the likes of Exar Kun, Nomi Sunrider, Ulic Qel Droma, Master Arca, Master Vodo-Siask Baas, the Empress Teta System, etc tbh. The KOTOR games never really resonated with me because it was all a few decades after the events of these characters. The audio dramatization for the Exar/Nomi/Ulic stores felt almost like listening to a movie.

I feel like touching KOTOR from the games is gonna cause too much controversy. Going with the stories of Exar, Nomi, and Ulic might not be a bad choice tbh.

* James Mangold (Logan, Indiana Jones 5, 3:10 to Yuma) is directing a film exploring the origins of the Jedi Order. In the panel it was likened to a "biblical epic" set 25,000 years before the Skywalker Saga.
* Dave Filoni's film will be the "Avengers" of the Mandoverse. All the storylines being set up in the various series will culminate in it.
* As mentioned in the other topic, Sharmeen's (not Charmeen's) film will be set after Episode IX and follow Rey as she attempts to rebuild the Jedi Order.

I'm curious about the origin movie they're planning (and maybe something involving The Old Republic), but Episode X already sounds like it might be the start of another trilogy that doesn't really go anywhere. I would hope I'm wrong though. The Sequel Trilogy was fun for a first watch but I don't feel like watching them ever again.

Refusing To retcon the ep7-9 trilogy essentially killed any potential storys they could have made foe Luke post OG trilogy. So I'm going to ignore them.

That and idk about anyone else but keeping up with probably a handful of different eras with different characters, storys, lore, and etc seems a little to overwhelming in my opinion.
