You don't hear it as often because it's not true. Being fat is way worse for your health than being too skinny. You see anyone having heart disease and diabetes from being too skinny?

I would assume anorexia probably causes heart disease eventually

That's a decent example but also kind of a stretch because tc is talking about being kinda skinny, not having an eating disorder.

160lbs isn't officially classified as "underweight" even if you're 6'5". Yes you will look like a twig and should eat a cheeseburger, but you aren't technically underweight even at that height

Not sure what's up with this faux concern from some people ITT about being "underweight". Probably the same people who complain about BMI being "misleading", even though it's perfectly fine for 90+% of people (i.e. anyone who isn't super short, super tall, or super buff). Do you realize just how few people "being underweight" actually applies to?

Y'all are just conditioned to the majority of people (in the US, at least) being overweight. Just because the average person is a fatass doesn't mean that's what's healthy

Yeah and I get full eating about half of a burger from 7/11 and it's only like 580 calories...so do the math bro. Liquid calories kinda work but i'm capped at like 2500 calories a day.

Eat stuff dense with a ton of calories and fat like peanut butter and spam. Not together though. Stuff like a pepperoni calzone is gonna have over 1,000 calories also.

Pepperoni calzones, double-bacon cheeseburgers, fried chicken.

Twinkies and ho-hos for dessert. (Deep-fried if available.)

And Mountain Dew for your drink.

Also, a double mocha-frappacino with whipped cream for your coffee. (3x daily)

And don't skimp on the fatback for breakfast! (fried, of course!)

With that diet, you'll be an overweight 360-lb man with chronic heart disease in no time at all!

Idk why you would post this without plugging it into a BMI calculator yourself

6'5" 160lbs = 19.0 BMI, which is on the lower end of the "Normal" weight range (18.5 to 24.9)

Skinny? Yes. Underweight? No

I went from 300lbs to 190 in about 7 months.

If I can do that, you can gain weight. No doubt.

You just have to eat more. When you're too full, eat a bit more.

Lift weights and eat at a surplus. You got this.

Unless you're uncommonly tall, it's hard not to see this as a secret brag topic >_>

Most of us are actually underweight or overweight. And it's impossible not to know this.

This feels like someone going to a cancer ward and complaining they have a cold lol.

I usually am the one to take all issues as individual things, but I found my limit....

Typically the difference between a high and low metabolism is about 200 calories a day. It does make a difference but not as much as many people think.

Wanna be more specific?

Or is this just another post where someone vaguely insults me but doesn't actually care if I receive the tools to be able to do better or be more self aware where they feel Im lacking. Cause those are incredibly annoying.

Also, saying some is projecting without specifics of how is basically just saying someone uses their own thoughts and habits as a reference point to judge others by. Which, before putting a negative spin on it is just saying someone feels like others are connected through similar life experiences. You gotta actually get to the insulting specifics for it to hit. Literally everyone projects stuff once in awhile. It's being human. I still don't see how that applies to that post tho. At most I just have a wrong perspective on most of us being underweight or overweight because I didn't actually take a head count.

Also this. No one believes me when I say me at 145 is not actually underweight, literally no one. It's feelings-based though, not fact-based. Like you say, they see fat people everywhere at all times and I fall outside of that. They short-circuit. https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmicalc.htm
