Nah, it would have just been pushing the rejection further down the line. I'm not too concerned about my body count so if I rejected someone it's because I knew I wasn't attracted to them so even if I had chose to bang them before cutting things off I don't think I'd feel any better

I also rejected a girl at a rave who said "Your glasses are hot. You're hot" because she was thicc. But maybe she was really nice. Now I'll never know. I said "Thank you," and walked away.

Yeah, but I've only ever rejected friendly advances. And I think I've only been asked out by one person.

Does it count as rejecting if you only realized years after the fact "oh, she was interested in me and I didn't realize so I never acknowledged or responded to her feelings" because if so, I've got at least a half dozen I can think of and I don't regret any but I do wonder how things may have gone given everything I was going through at the time and how I might be different now as a result of having had those experiences then.

No, one girl asked me out from high school, but her hair was like super short, not my type.

Yes, I said no to a girl because I know there was another guy pursuing her and I felt he was a better fit for her than me.

Never occurred to me I could just bang her and then tell her to go with the other guy.

Nope. If anything, I wish I had been firmer in my rejections. I rejected my ex-wife multiple times (once before we started officially dating and then again after she cheated on me/begged for a second chance). I caved in both times.

I genuinely wish I could travel back in time and shake nineteen years old Rinku and scream in his face until he runs far, far away from her. I wish I could tell him that, not only will she absolutely break his heart and destroy his ability to trust anyone, she's going to make him legitimately fear for his life.

I also don't regret gently turning down a friend who just wanted to fool around. She's very pretty, but I'm not that kind of guy.

tbf it's high school, you can basically never expect the best outcome. a lot of people do better in uni because it's kind of a doubling up on something that already happened, and you have actual life experience. i think, though, after uni if you haven't learned how to interact with women you're gonna have a shitty fucking time, at least in my experience.

I am still friends with several high school classmates and I've asked then about it.

One of them told me that they had a crush on me in 10th grade at the same time I had a crush on them but being teenagers, both of us lacked confidence and thought the other considered us a loser, respectively. And yes, we had a good laugh about it when we realized that we'd thought the same thing at the same time.

There were a few others who have come up in conversation with friends or even my sisters and they were like "hey, so did you ever go out with (insert name here), she flirted with you a bunch and you two even had lunch together back then" and so on. -_-

I was not good at picking up on things. Still am not the best but if I'm interested I'm pretty open about it because direct and open communication is everything.

Same. I was hung up on this one girl in HS that constantly gave me "maybe" vibes, causing me to tell other girls that were interested in me that I wasn't interested, for fear that she would find out and turn that "maybe" into a "definitely not".

This was before the term "Friendzone" was a thing, but I was definitely firmly in the Friendzone and didn't realize it until it was way too late.

Back when I was 15 there was a girl who fell hard for me and I thought itd be fun, so I wrote this teenage love letter telling her I loved her too and when I got back from winter break, wed be together.

Then I went home and found out this girl I had crushed on in the past crushed on me too and we hooked up.

I go back to school and the girl who I wrote the letter to is sitting in front of my dorm in the prettiest dress and loveliest perfume and she had flowers and candy with her.

I told her the truth and watched her face crumble and the tears and the flowers thrown on the ground35 years later and shes still the girl I feel sad for hurting in this way.

Someone at work asked me out about 10 years ago but I was already seeing someone at the time. I always wonder what would have happened had I gone for it.

Yeah, more than just a few times

A lot of times I was already dating someone or trying ro be nice, but it was stupid of me. Plenty of girls I should have dumped before that even.

I wasnt intentionally thoughtless or cruel about it, but it was mean without intent. Ive always felt bad for it. She was so sweet too!

I have too many, and I still regret one of the rejections almost 20 years later. I always got asked out by girls from elementary all the way to my high school years, and yet I said no to them all -- even ones I had big crushes on. I don't how I attracted so many, because I wasn't hot or flirty, but I do know the reason I rejected them was mostly because I thought negatively of myself.

A really cute girl (my freaking crush) was actually hitting on me back in HS. She even jokingly stole my phone, and typed on my notes "hey cutie! how's it going?". Never seen that message until a year later.. lmao. She also kept touching and doing a bit of flirting too. And yea I was dumb enough to not notice she liked me.

Other than that, never had a woman asking me out. I'm nearly 27 now.
