Dobbs and mifepristone did that.
The inviolability of the individual was the bastion of the old right, and I guess that's gone now.

Ayn Rand didn't prepare me for this (she tried to), but George Orwell and (somehow) Aldous Huxley did.

Both are authors, The Doors got their name from a Huxley book.

Dobbs is the ruling that struck down federal right to abortion. Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization

Mifepristone is an abortion pill that effectively had its FDA approval reversed in an absolutely ridiculous ruling by a federal judge (political appointee by Trump). The case is Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. U.S. Food and Drug Administration, though it's usually just called "mifepristone ruling."

And there is a LOT of shit going down in states, some of which are just barely red-controlled, that is completely blatantly anti-freedom and anti-democracy. If conservatives or libertarians cared, they'd be pissed.

Red and purple states being over-reactionary is what's driving the libertarians leftward, right now.
Anarchists are fickle by nature, and OBEY makes them go especially weird.

I live in Florida (for now). There are a lot of fucknuts that think Florida is FULL of freedom right now. Mostly the freedom to oppress trans people through the state. It's bizarre living here 30 years and being told by people who moved here from Staten Island a year ago to get out of their state.

But my dad got 10% off on his AC repair because he voted for Trump, so what does he care?

Sorry, just kinda vent-rambling.

Is there really a big difference between ethical egoism and rational anarchy? I think "isms", left and right, are more divisive than anything else. It's very Machiavellian--divide and conquer. I think most of the problems appear in the longitudinal contrast on the socio-economic class system.
