Season 2 stripped everything that made the show unique away and it suffered for it, but then Season 3 was just "what if we did Season 1 again, but with a different twist ending" and it was.... fine. Like it took me about a half dozen tries just to get through the first episode. When I finally did I figured let me slog through the second one, as I continued on some momentum or something started to build and I believe by the 4th episode I was all in. Its such a good character piece moreso than a mystery. Harrelson and McConaughey just own their respective characters and the dialogue is so good between them.
