As for the topic I absolutely hate, loathe and detest tea. I must be the only man in Britain that hates it.

I like to buy good pre-flavored tea powder to keep my pitcher full in the fridge during the summer. Right now it's full of a cherry flavored electrolyte.

Red Diamond if I'm at a store though.

Been drinking it way more than ever. Got some gunpowder green recently and it's really good. Thinking I'll eventually switch to just tea from coffee.

Recently bought an electric kettle and that's been a total game changer.

I drink southern sweet tea, but that's pretty much just sugar with some vaguely tea-flavored water in it.

As others pointed out there's many different types of green tea. Many different types of black tea too. Hojicha is harvested and prepared differently from all other green teas giving it a very unique flavor that is nowhere near classic green.

i do.

i'm pretty basic about tea and mostly buy bagged teas from the grocery. i like a green tea (Tazo Green Ginger is my go-to) after lunch, and a double cup of black tea in the mid afternoon. for black tea, i like Constant Comment, Earl Grey from bags when i'm at work (convenience). i buy loose leaf black tea from my coffee roaster for when i'm at home.

Im drinking PG Tips today after having seen people talk about it and finally finding it at an Indian grocery store the other day. Its okay. My favorite grocery store tea so far is Twinings English Afternoon, I think. Has some flavor, but is kind of bright at the same time.

Oh. I basically just knew the "green tea" as it's called in tea bags presentation, and I had I had loose leafs of Jasmine tea which, I though was green tea too.

Yes, the ginger tea is the one I drink more for sure. It's the most original flavor out of all the other teas cause it has spice I guess, and so it gives kind of a purifying sensation. It's great for digestion and throat.
I only drink red/white and green in the day if I feel like I need caffeine basically. Red has a strange flavor, and the white tea is supposedly stronger than black tea.

Better is a matter of taste of course, but Hojicha has a smoky flavor, which to me is almost like Darjeeling - which as you know is a black tea. Deep flavor, yet it's still a green tea. The smell fills the room (and my office) almost like an incense. The roasting process also reduces the caffeine.

Very popular iced in summer.

Created by accident in Japan by some guy who left a pot of tea on too long.

Maeda-En seems to have perfected it IMO. If your local store doesn't have it, they have a warehouse in CA you can order from directly.

Yamamotoyama is a good Japanese tea company and it's widely available too. I like their Genmaicha (green tea with roasted brown rice). A delicate smoky undertone to the normal green tea flavor.
