The Acolyte is set at the end of the High Republic era in a world of "shadowy secrets and emerging dark side powers", approximately 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace (1999). A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

I am hoping the main character ends up switching sides by the end, and hence why it's called The Acolyte. Acolyte is the Sith equivalent term for Padawan. And then in season 2, we could see some really interesting stuff

The titular "Acolyte" is a force sensitive individual from a technologically backward planet whose sibling was taken by the Jedi at a young age, leaving her alone as she had not manifested her own abilities yet. She is discovered by a Sith Lord later and her bitterness and hatred towards the Jedi leads her to be easily indoctrinated by them.
