What are some things that you think were better in the past compared to today. For example if you think Hot Dogs in the 90s tasted better or something like that.

I think the art style of animation was overall better, in general years ago. From Cal Art to the stuff looking like Rick and Morty overall I just do not think that animation looks good anymore. And like even the same brand of shows. Like the average episode of DBZ compared to the average episode of super. It just looks like Super looks worse and I don't no how the explain it. Note everything in the past wasn't great and everything now doesn't suck. But I just think overall things use to look better.

Also Word, for some reason I think MS word worked better back in the day . I don't know maybe it was clippy.

Pretty much all food, video games, and movies. Only thing that stayed consistent is booze.

I can't remember the name. But it was this site that had all these flash games. And you could play them for free. And they were like the quality of some of your 20 dollars steam games now. I wish I could remember the name of that place.

Refrigerators/most appliances (my new ones seem to break in just a few years, but in the past I had fridges and things that lasted decades)

what happens to them? i have like around 20 pairs of headphones including iems and only 1 of them has fucked up on me and within 1 month. it was some chinese iems that cost me $700. one of the drivers responsible for the subbass broke so it can't play below 80 hz lol. so fucking lame too man im never buying from THIEAUDIO (AVOID!!!!) again

altho tbf i've really only listened to like 3 diff headphones for more than 1k hours. hd600, hd6xx, and my wh1000xm3. maybe hd800s too i forgot what headphone i daily'd when playing runescape a lot

I also had issues with hifiman arya. I had to send this headphone back TWO different times to get a new pair. I think it was bad solder job near the cup's jack.

My Hifiman sundara came with a broken cable. I just got a replacement cable.

Hifiman Ananda came with a dead driver. This was the only one in stock so had to just get a refund. Lol

My sr009s came with a quieter left driver. Had to rma this to stax. Process took like 3 months!!!

Damn I can't believe I had forgotten these experiences

Hmm yeah seems like only sennheiser and Sony stuff has not given me issues after 1k hours playtime.

Cartoons and animation in general since the start of the 21st century has been absolutely fucking atrocious and abysmal.

Nowadays it is all thick black lines, zig-zags or CGI!

I can't speak for Disney or Nickelodeon as I do not watch these channels but on Boomerang the number of decently drawn cartoons I have seen on that channel that were made in this century I can count on the fingers of one hand. The only decently drawn cartoons I have seen on that channel are Whats New Scooby-Doo, Tom And Jerry Tales and The Looney Tunes Show.

Oh I miss the animation that you got between 1940 - 1990's.

As for the topic at hand one thing that was better in the past was video games.

Back in the past when you bought the cartridge/CD everything was already there on the cartridge/CD. There was none of this DLC/microtransaction shit that you get nowadays. Or the release broken mess now patch later mentallity that a lot of video games today suffer from.

Shows would have seasons that were 15+ episodes. Now we get the bare minimum

Almost anything milk chocolate. Maybe my taste has changed over the years, but I'm more on the thought process of using cheaper ingredients has altered the taste.

Fast food in general.

No, not about the cocaine. Regular coca cola tastes much better 2 or 3 decades ago than now.

I have heard that before from people and some think it is because Coca-Cola changed from using cane sugar to using High Fructose Corn Syrup in the receipe.

Go and get yourself a can of British Coca-Cola as Coca-Cola UK uses sugar in their Coke and see if you prefer that.

No British soft drinks use HFCS.

I saw someone mention Angelfire, so not necessarily that, but website design peaked before everything became catered to smart phones. Frames could definitely be annoying as they persisted even when you left the site, but site designs are so sterile and blog style now with no personality.

Heck nhl.com had a outdated website-ish with puns until they succumbed.

We've gone full circle from dedicated mobile sites, to responsive design, to dedicated mobile sites again - but they all nag to download the app.

Stupid apps. I remember when youtube had five stars. I would actually rate things 3 stars at times. Now the dislike button is still broken but yea it's there as a tease. Hah.
