edit: never mind, it's since closed. head east to elgin and check out southside market i guess. pretty good brisket, and one of the few places i've been to that do southern baked mac & cheese pretty well.

i'm also a big fan of rudy's moist brisket when it's done right but it's not austin bbq, though it does have a major presence in austin.

there's also a bbq place in cedar park with phenomenal brisket but i cannot for the life of me remember what it's called.

The two big rec's that I always got were Terry Black's and Franklin's. I only had Terry Black's once and it was decent.
