This. I knew girls at 11/12 who were already non-virgins (according to them at least) when I was that age. And that was like 20 years ago, so the situation has probably deteriorated further since.

Its 16 here in the UK but for example someone in there 30s dating and banging a 16 year old will still make you a social pariah and have you kept an eye on.
