A bunch as a kid, but not very many as an adult.

A few.

Once as a kid by a wasp.
Once as a legal adult in the middle of Calculus class. Motherfucker sucker stung me and I let out a very embarrassing scream.

Couple more times while out and about.

Only once, with the caveat that I also had one sting once that I never identified the culprit for (but given that no stinger remained, probably not a bee).

Twice. Once when I was like 4 because I stepped on one. That pretty much gave me a bee phobia that lasted for decades.

Then another time when I was, I dunno maybe 18 or so? My dad was driving and I was a passenger with the window down. I had my arm rested up on the door frame, and one flew right into my arm, mustve been ass end first, then crumpled to the floor and died.

Close to 200, I think.
Sounds like a lot, but most are from just a single incident and give falling on me. I don't recall the actual number of stings but it ~150 - 180ish. Plus quite a few normal stings that occured from accidentally stepping on one or being too near a wasp nest.

I'm sure it depends on the type of wasp but around here at least the wasp stings are not nearly as bad as the bee stings

Wasps can sting more than once tho.

I've been stung by either a wasp or a bee when I was younger, and mid run on my stomach I got stung by again either a random wasp or bee that flew under my shirt.

The first I barely remember, but I remember the sting on my stomach it hurt, and I remember just brushing my stomach and it was like an object fell out (RIP bee/wasp). When I got home was when I realized it, I had thought it was some sort of cramp but I had the welt to confirm it and the recollection to recognize it.

I think one or two may not be bad, but a ton of them stinging you? You're not going to be too happy about it. The pain of a sting is rather sharp and abrupt when it happens so you feel this irrational pain that you don't understand for a brief moment. Possible panic until you discover the source of it. A child getting stung will probably consider it the worst pain they've ever experienced in their life so care should be taken. An adult? Well it can vary. It can be a minor inconvenience all the way to terrified if you're allergic and reaching for an epipen. Pain is relative but...thankfully science answers this oddly enough. For one man purposefully stinging himself at least.

One mad lad purposely got himself stung in various portions of his body to see if where you got stung determines how painful the sting is.

Twenty-five sting locations were selected throughout the body (see Fig. 1). One location (forearm) was selected as an internal standard, with the a priori assumption that stings to the forearm would induce a median level of pain. The author self-administered five stings per day. The first sting and last sting were the internal standards (forearm). These stings were given a score of 5, and the three test stings were rated relative to the pain of the forearm stings. All stings occurred between 0900 h and 1000 h, to avoid time of day effects. At least 5 min of delay was given between stings, longer if pain from the previous sting persisted. The pain was rated by the author as precisely as possible on a scale of 110, relative to the internal standard (score of 5). Lower scores denote less pain; higher scores denote more pain.

Here's the interesting part.

The author had received approximately 5 stings per day for three months before the experiment, so no changes in his immune system were to be expected over the course of the experiment

This guy was USED to being stung so some of those 7-9 scores are pretty damn serious, especially coming from a scientist trying to do relative scores.
Keep in mind, medically a 7 or higher is debilitating, in that you just can't consider continuing to live life without dealing with this pain. Whether the pain makes it impossible to walk or even sleep. Higher levels of pain prevent you from talking, often because you're crying or just screaming in pain that you can't focus on the task at hand.

How do you dudes think bee stings compare to the pain of getting your blood drawn?

Not bees, but I had fleas on me since I'm hairy.

Minor, the pain doesn't last as long as a bee sting does. I'd rate a blood draw to be about a 1 or 2 and a bee sting to be like 3-4 max. But apparently I'm wrong about bee stings, it all matters where you were stung.

As a kid I got stung atleast once a summer. One of the best ones was a wasp that got down my shirt and got me 7 times. Hate them fuckers. As an adult ive been good mostly. My new house wasps like and set up a few nests and I will murderfy any of those fuckers I see.

Maybe 2 or 3 times as a kid. Never been stung as an adult which is odd.

I was stung by a swam of wasps when I was about 5 or 6.

edit: just remembered I stepped on a bee and it stung my barefoot a couple years ago. It swelled up and I basically didnt have an arch on my foot for a day or two

Twice as a teen, both from yellow jackets.

More recently I had either a hornet or wasp land on my head at work. It caught me off-balance and made me stumble, causing it to fly off. Surprisingly avoided getting stung.

Wasps like 5-6 times. My shed as a kid had a wasp hive we wanted to get rid of. They would give warning stings to you to go away.

Bees like 2-3 times.

Wasps definitely piss me off more. They also stung me on my face whereas the bees were like the leg or something.

One particular instance I remember running away after the wasp stung me to my house and closed the glass door, and the wasp was right there on the glass trying to get to me.

Hate them. Love watching YouTube videos of people exterminating wasp hives. Fuck them.

Just once as a kid when I stepped on a hive and dropped my glasses.

now though.. absolutely no problem interacting with them. As long as you are calm and do not behave in a threatening manner to them or their nest bees and wasps are very chill insects.

Im allergic to bee stings, so wasps are definitely not as bad for me. Ive only been stung by a bee once as a kid, but it was terrifying because my throat closed up.

Once, sort of. I pricked myself on a dead bee's stinger picking it up. Wasn't my best moment.

When I was a young teen I threw a rock at a bees nest. Thought I was far enough away but they swamped me almost instantly and fucked me up bad.
