basically: like everything else involving gunplagirl, people are looking for any reason to hate her. she was kinda rude to a guy who had previously said virulently homophobic things about a murdered gay man. because she is trans and left-leaning, people blew it way out of proportion and took the guy's side, and held it against her for literally years when she didn't actually do anything wrong.

In the last thread I saw where genocide came up someone posted a legal definition to try to argue a genocide was taking place even though that legal definition would clearly not apply to trans people. When people pointed that out they were called transphobes or trolls the way you just kind of said it happens.

Why get stuck on arguing about how the term genocide could or couldnt apply? It takes away from the horribleness of what the GOP is trying to do.

i think even trans people aren't sure about surgery on children tho

its ok to not be sure about hormones and surgery for little kids.

Well you don't need to be sure. You're not a doctor. And neither doctors nor trans people are pushing for a 9 year old to get surgery.

The user in question was being callous about the death of the victim in this case, and gunplagirl's response was that, as someone who had recently lost their girlfriend, that user could stand to be a little more empathetic.

I feel were playing stupid semantic games now. All I wanna know is what she said about the girlfriend or to be more pedantic - how did she bring up the girlfriend and in what context?

You seem to be going out of your way to avoid it so if you dont know then just say you dont know. Hopefully someone else will. Its entirely possible she didnt bring her up at all.

Thanks. If thats what she said and thats all she said then I agree its a little tone deaf but not the worst thing Ive seen on here. Weve had people pretend to have cancer previously in here FFS who are given a free pass now.
