Is it hot air, or electric?
It's really only vapor if you use hot air. Electric just burns it, releasing smoke.

its convection heating so electric but it doesnt become hot enough to combust, so it is smokeless

You can't set it to a specific one? That's interesting. I like 360 and rarely go above 390, too burnt for my liking

How big is it
How much work to clean it

I roll my oregano to smoke and while i enjoy the rolling ritual, sometimes i dont want to deal with the hassle of going outside and i always want to take a shower right away because i hate smelling like smoke

Been thinking about a dry herb vape but it feels like a big investment
If i can smoke inside next to an air purifier and have the smell go away quick that might be a game changer

They are pretty cheap these days from what I remember. I bought one a few years ago for 60ish I think. It's a handheld, about the size of a roll of quarters. They make larger stationary style ones as well, similar to a bong or a hookah. Easy to use and smell dissipates quickly. Lingers on the breath a bit so brush or have mints if you are paranoid about smell, but not nearly as potent as smoke. I'd recommend cleaning the chamber each use, it can get clogged if neglected.

You can get cheaper probably but I'd be weary of anything under $50, might be crap quality.

I saw someone talking about the one they bought on Reddit. I think it was made by the same people who made The Volcano. But the one he showed was like 400 bucks. Does it really cut down on use of the herbs?

I have a DaVinci. It has chambers where you can put other herbs in to add flavor. I think that's a dumb gimmick but the vape is nice.

My brother bought a volcano back in 2012ish, It's a good product but having used both expensive and cheaper options I don't think it's worth the cost. That said, it will last longer, is easier to maintain, faster to prime, and has more options in terms of temperature and intake method.

From what I remember vaporizing extracts more thc than burning it, so it would theoretically cut down on usage. It's a bit of trial and error to figure out exactly how much to load per session though.

mine is handheld, only holds a gram at a time, and the chamber has been super easy to clean. It doesnt burn the herb so there is no ash you just dump it and then a quick rub of the brush it comes with clears out any remainder

Very much so because you can get vapor from the herb at a lower temp and then raise it up as needed and you arent losing any to combustion.

They're expensive, but it's hard to beat the Mighty. I've had mine now for 4 years and it's still my daily driver. Very good size battery, you can use it while charging too which is a huge plus. Highly recommend getting the dosing and canisters for that too, great for on the go. It normally only takes me one and I'm pretty toasted but sometimes you want a little bit more lol.

If you're looking for something cheaper but still pretty good, I like my HeathyRips fury edge. The heat up time is a lot lot better because that is convection I believe.
