George Floyd protests were the closest we got, and they fizzled without any meaningful change occurring. Mass protests against guns didnt happen for Sandy Hook. Or Santa Fe. Or Uvalde. Mass protests didnt happen when Snowden revealed just how much our own government has basically unchecked power in spying on its own citizens. Why are Americans so god damn lazy? When we do get more meaningful protest, other Americans get mad that they get inconvenienced by it. Really no winning.
