saying Space Cadet is the best pinball game is like saying Windows Solitaire is the best card game. You might get agreement from anyone who's never played anything else, but to not be able to name one preferred option if you've actually played others seems unlikely.

I've played a couple other Pinball games. Pinball FX2 and Pinball arcade for sure.

Full Tilt! Pinball is still my favorite (the game with Space Cadet in it).

A lot of VG pinball games are plagued with some weird physics/bounce mechanics, but Spinball was especially off. Like I'm pretty sure there was a kind of weighted randomness on a given bounce.

Yeah, Spinball is not good. Just the feel of it is all wrong.

I'm a Sonic Spinball apologist but it is, at the very least, not a good pinball game. It barely even plays or feels like pinball.

Kirby's Pinball and Pokmon Pinball were both very fun

Someday I'll try Metroid Prime Pinball

Space Cadet is overrated for sure, but better than Sonic Spinball

Pinball Dreams or Epic Pinball

nice I didn't think anyone else played Pinball Dreams

Stern Pinball on Switch is also a really good pinball emulator

I'm not familiar with full tilt, but if space cadet came with other tables, I'd probably have liked it a lot better. I just wasn't enamored with that particular build and would have liked other options.

I didn't care for Sonic Spinball. A game that strangely reminded me of it, even though the ball doesn't turn into an anthropomorphic hedgehog, was 3-D Ultra Pinball from Sierra (which was apparently Denji's favorite.) Both had a very complex, daunting three-region table to try to achieve objectives in.

Heh, I had 3-D Ultra Pinball: The Lost Continent for my first computer.

To say the least, it was hard lol

I had the version featuring Outpost...which was another game by Sierra that I also had...and was much too young to understand and appreciate. It seemed really hard to me, but I probably just didn't understand "don't spend all your resources instantly" because the game wasn't good at communicating stuff.
